Man, 48, Arrested After Allegedly Fleeing From Police, Leading To Chase In Fairfield County

A man was picked up on a warrant for reckless driving after taking police on a chase in Fairfield County.

A Stamford man was arrested by the Greenwich Police Department after allegedly fleeing during a traffic stop and taking police on a chase on I-95.

Christian Prince, 48, of Stamford, was arrested by Stamford Police on a warrant out of Greenwich for an incident that took place on Nov. 30, said the Greenwich Police. 

According to police, On Saturday, Nov. 30, around 2:30 a.m., Prince was allegedly driving in an erratic manner in a neighborhood on the west of side of Greenwich when officers attempted to make a traffic stop.

Instead of stopping, Prince allegedly accelerated and drove onto I-95 and engaged officers in pursuit until officers broke off the chase, police said.

Following the chase, Prince was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest, police said.

He was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane, engaging police in pursuit, reckless driving, speeding, and failure to display plate/sticker. 

He was released on a $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 6, 2020.
